Brain Train For The Family

Concentration is regarded as a foundation of all brain functions including The Memory.

We all want our children to find learning easy, and truly enjoyable and to achieve success in today’s incredibly competitive society.

So can we actually do anything to help them to develop an ability to focus on one activity – help them to concentrate and memorise. Below we gave few examples of simple exercise techniques which repeated daily and coupled with good diet, plenty of fresh air and a stress free approach… should guarantee great results!

When you are confident with the exercises above it’s time for more challenging but bringing phenomenal results – ‘Memorising by Associations’ or rather by a chain of associations. The chains can be made up of different pictures, words, sounds, smells and feelings - it’s entirely up to you to find links that work for you. Take a look at the pictures below… How would you link them?

My chain to memorise them in correct order goes as follows: I pricked myself on the Cactus – and pushed it on Salt and Pepper – salt spilled all over Santa - Salted Santa gave Cricket the flowers – Cricket (probably blind) – fell into the well – where he found a camera and made a film – about a penguin that was freezing cold – so he put a pink jumper – and popped out for the fast food meal.

Try to line up every day object or pictures and ask your child to create stories linking them in correct order. Soon you will notice that you will be able to increase objects to 20, 50 or even to a hundred. According to the Guinness Record Book it is possible to memorise 55 numbers in just 3 seconds and 1000 foreign words in just less than 4 hours…

The above techniques can be practised together by the entire family and could certainly enrich your Sudoku regime. Remember! - Your brain should be treated like an Olympic class muscle – it needs plenty of exercises, a regular work out, and plenty of water. With this it will grow stronger and faster.
